The Members of The Three Rivers Underground Brewers (TRUB) will be hosting their Fourth Annual “Brewing Up A Cure” for Cystic Fibrosis on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association (PAA) on Fifth Avenue in Oakland from 7 to 10PM. Highway 13 will return by popular demand for our musical entertainment. The home brewers have started to brew more than 50 different craft beers created by members of TRUB. There will be a sampling of delicious food from a variety of restaurants including some yummy desserts.

There will be also be a unique selection of commercial beers to sample and compare with the home brews. Again this year, there will be a “special” super silent auction of a hand crafted bar donated by T.C. Contracting and other awesome baskets and silent auction items for guests to bid on.

Brewing Up A Cure has been a tremendous success and we want to continue making progress to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. Last year we raised $36,363 in the name of Sadie’s Soldiers for Sadie Lane Terrick and this year we want to hit our mark of over $40,000 --- so let’s do it this year. Sadie’s dad, Shane, is a member of TRUB.

So, if you missed our event in prior years, be sure to attend the Fourth Annual “Brewing Up A Cure”. Tickets will be $30 and $40 for the VIP session from 6 – 7PM. VIP are limited and must be purchased early to insure availability to sample special brews and special food tastings. Tickets will go on sale starting June 1, 2010. Keep checking our website for updates throughout the year. Pictures of last year’s event are currently on the website for your review.
